Meet Dr. Kevin J. Murphy

Dr. Murphy is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in the field of sports medicine and arthroscopy. Dr. Murphy specializes in the care and rehabilitation for athletes of all ages. He takes pride in employing the latest in minimally invasive techniques to treat injuries and conditions of the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow. He utilizes the latest advancements and innovation in shoulder and knee replacement – including robotics, customized joints and “smart” joint technology. Dr. Murphy has previously served as Chief Medical Officer and Head Team Physician for the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer, winning the MLS Cup with the club in 2015. He has also provided coverage for several other sports teams and events. Dr. Murphy moved to Oregon after completing his education and training over 20 years ago.  In his free time Dr. Murphy likes to golf, snowboard, hit the gym, wakesurf, support his San Francisco sports teams and spend time with his three children and two labrador retrievers.
